Hebrews 1:4-2:4

Scripture References: Psalms 2:1-12, Hebrews 1:1-14, Hebrews 2:1-4

From Series: "Hebrews: Draw near to God"

The heart of the Book of Hebrews is that Jesus is better. Better than the Old Testament prophets, angels, priests, promises, and covenants which are all shadows pointing to Jesus as the reality. In Hebrews there are stern warnings about hard hearts, unbelief and immaturity. But also warm encouragements to press on towards growth in Christian maturity, and find grace from Jesus our High Priest, who can sympathise and save. He is the anchor for our souls, giving us hope and confidence to face any storm. "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." Hebrews 6:19
