Children are an integral part of our church meetings. We work hard to insure that children enjoy church, learn about God and are kept safe. The Lakes is aware of child protection issues and seeks to provide good quality care and teaching for your children.

K-6- AM Church

For the first 10-15 minutes of the meeting both the children and the adults spend time together, singing and sharing in the life of the church. After that time the meeting leader will announce that Kid’s Church is starting and the children will leave and go to their classrooms.

Preschool- AM Church

The Tadpoles group is for children who are 3 ½ – 5 years. Tadpoles is located on the ground level next to the Tiny Tots. These classrooms can be accessed through the side of the hall.
The children are taught by a teacher and helper each week. Please ensure that you sign your child in and then collect them at the end of the church meeting. The children will enjoy a Bible story time and some craft & play activities. Please pack some morning tea for your child keeping in mind that some kids are allergic to being in proximity of eggs and nuts.

Tiny Tots- AM Church

Tiny Tots is a group we have established to cater for our 2-3 ½ year old children. It is located in the classrooms accessed through the side of the hall. We provide structured activities and are following a program of lessons called Teaching Little Ones. Please ensure you pack morning tea (labeling everything), sign your child in each week and then collect them at the end.
Both Creche and Tiny Tots are available at 8:30am and 10:30am church meetings.

Creche- AM Church

Creche is for children up to the age of 2-2 ½ years old. Creche is located on the bottom level of R block. These are the classrooms you pass as you enter the hall. The children are cared for by teams of parents from our church.

Playgroup- connecting with our community

The Lakes Playgroup meets at the Berkeley Centre, Thursday mornings from 9:30 – 11:30am. It is for any mother or father with young children wanting to get out and play. Playgroup costs $3 per week to cover expenses.
