WISE: Equip 19th May

Equip Women, is on Saturday the 19th of May, in Darling Harbour but we now have 2 options of how to be involved.

You could go along and enjoy the day and share fellowship with the 4000 women who attend at Darling Harbour Convention Centre (click here to register and you could contact Ruth if you would like to travel with someone from The Lakes)

or you could watch the live video stream of the Conference at The Entrance Baptist Church.

The live streaming will allow you to see all aspects of the conference, from talks and interviews, to songs, prayer and the most popular elective topic.The aim is that women from the coast will be able to enjoy fellowship with each other and quality bible teaching at a fraction of the conference cost. The cost of the day is only $10.00 which covers the cost of live streaming, and lunch. To keep costs low we would like to ask ladies to bring a plate of something to share for morning tea if they are happy to. Registrations will open at 8:30 and the first talk will start at 9am. The day will finish at the end of the elective at 3:30pm.

Womens’ Breakfast- 5th May

You are invited to enjoy a morning being served a fine breakfast, enjoying friendships and conversation, and hearing an encouraging talk.

Saturday 5th May from 8 to 10am at The Entrance Baptist Church,

Life is like a box of chocolates…………….

Make your own gifts using chocolate. We have lots of moulds, lollies, sprinkles, ideas and chocolate.

Put all this together in a decorative box and your gift is complete!

Enjoy a talk, supper and lots of chocolate.

WISE: Cafe Night- 23rd Feb

If you are new to the Lakes or been coming for a while, this would be a great opportunity to get to know other women from our church. This will be a time to relax, have a cuppa and enjoy each others company.

Gingerbread House- 18th, 19th Nov

WISE: Counting Down to Christmas- 20th Oct

The next WISE night will be on Thurs October 20, where we will be continue to make our “Jesus Tree”. This will be a night to complete the ornaments you started in September, or to come along and commence making your “Jesus Tree”. This is a type of advent calendar with a symbol, description and Bible verse relating to who Jesus is. A great way to count down to Christmas with your children, grandchildren, friends and family, or give as a gift.

This WISE event will be held at The Entrance Baptist Church Hall, 8 Yakalla St, Bateau Bay from 7.30pm.

Cost: $20 per kit (extra $10 if you would like each decoration in an organza bag)

Please RSVP by 18th Oct on Sundays or the church office. It would be great if you could please pay a $5 deposit to secure a kit when you register.

Women’s Katoomba Convention- 10-11th Sept

Some of The Lakes women are planning to attend WKC again this year and stay for the weekend of 10-11th Sept.

The accommodation cost will be an additional $60 on top of the registration cost which will be $80 per adult, $73 Concession.
