Adults can join in the activities or sit under the shade of the tent and enjoy music and conversation

For the Kids…

GNW caters for kids of all ages. Kids are welcome to come for one day or the whole week. The program runs from 9-11:30 am each day and the cost is $4/child/day (or max $10/family/day). All the kid’s programs are coordinated by qualified children’s workers with a support team of trained volunteers. There is a mix of games, craft, puppets, teaching from the Bible and morning tea.

You can pre-register your child by downloading the form, completing it and handing in the collection bags on Sunday or posting to our church office. Otherwise, you can register on the day.

For the Adults…

‘Santorini Summer’ – Each morning (Mon-Fri) the Adults Tent offers is a welcoming cafe for parents, grandparents and friends to be spoilt with coffee and Greek treats as they hear interesting talks and interviews all in the theme of ‘Santorini Summer’! A creche and preschool tent is offered to those attending ‘Santorini Summer’, led by trained children’s workers.

Big Fat Greek Blokes Night. Thursday 12th Jan, 6.00-9.00pm. Berkeley Vale High Oval.

For Everyone…

Soul on the Grass. Friday 13th Jan from 6:30pm till 9pm. BYO Picnic dinner. Berkeley Vale High Oval.

Family Fun Day (9am Sunday 15th Jan). Join us for church  in the Berkeley Vale High COLA. Come and hear what the kids got up to during the week! Followed by fun activities on the oval or relaxing in the Adults Tent over a coffee. Activities include suasage sizzle, sumo wrestling, jumping castle for kids, water fights, face painting and cool badge making!

Over the week we have had more than 350 kids in attendance in the programs.

Only one more event to go…

• Sunday – a fantastic finale with church at 9am followed by a great family fun day with food and drink for sale but everything else provided free.  Remember – wet weather options are available to us so don’t be put off if it rains!

Don’t forget to ask your friends to come along to one of the many events still to come:

• Day 4 (Thurs) in the adults tent – Tony and Julie Heywood will be leading our session on how we can be more
  accepting of each other in both marriage and other relationships.  There will be a gospel talk about God’s unconditional love, how he accepts uswarts and all.
• Thurs night men’s event arrive sometime after 5.30pm on the school oval
• Fri night jazz night – picnic from 6.30pm on the main oval
• Sun morning family fun day – starts with church at 9am
• There is a wet weather plan for each event so don’t let rain or bad weather put you off coming along!

The registration was extremely smooth thanks to Tracey House and her team.  Thanks also to all our church members who pre-registered their kids.  It makes a huge difference to Day 1!

• The creche and preschool had 30 children.
• The infants aged schoolkids had 57 children.
• The primary aged schoolkids had around 41 children.
• The teens (high school) also had a huge 68 kids.
• As far as I can work out that is a record day one attendance!

• The adults tent showed hospitality to around 80 adults – we entered the kingdom of “Ever After” with the hosts Princess Natalie the Fair and Prince David the Lionheart.  We heard a question and answer session from paediatrician Susie Piper about childhood related illnesses.  Darren Box gave a great talk about our love of fantasy stories and the big characters/big themes.  Then he compared and contrasted the big characters/big themes of the Bible – and yet the Bible is dealing with real people, real issues, real history.  It was fantastic!

Day 2 – Tuesday should be another great day!  In the adults’ tent the topic is: Reality Bites… When the big bad wolf eats Grandma.  Dr David Lienert with be speaking about dealing with loss in our life. David is a Christian psychiatrist practising on the Central Coast. He will speak about grief associated with death of a loved one and with other kinds of losses that we face.  Our own Ann Wood will share something of her experience of losing her husband five years ago and how God has led her through that time…  Come and join us!

During the week we also have an Adults Tent ‘Ever After’, for parents, grandparents and friends to be spoilt while their children are participating in their program (creche and preschool tent also available for parents remaining on site). Tea and coffee and plenty of yummies will be served for a small donation. We will also hear from a number of different speakers on issues that relate to us, our family and community.

For Young Adults

Tues 11th – ‘Escape.. au couer de Paris’ 6:30-9:30pm @ Cafe Pennoz. $15 at the door. Live music from Lara Goudie, food & drinks, come dressed in french attire, 18+only.

Men’s Night…

Thursday 13th – 5:30pm in the Adults Tent, “MEN & their SPORTS”, BBQ Sausage Sizzle, Snacks, Drinks etc, FREE.

For the whole family…

Friday 14th – ‘Soul on the Grass’. A relaxed Friday evening of live Jazz on the oval. BYO Picnic dinner.

Sunday 16th – ‘Family Fun Day‘ on the school oval after 9am church in the Cola.

It should be a lot of fun and we hope you can join us!

Get ready for something big!

The blokes are getting together on Thursday evening 13th Jan from 5.30pm to hear a few yarns about the glory days from Cricket, Rugby, Athletics, and Golfing greats.

Got a photo, medal, or trophy of some type from the glory days? Then bring it along!

Test your skill against a cricket bowling machine, chipping a golf ball to a pin, breaking Stuart Gyngell’s Shot Put record, scoring a 3 pointer from the basketball free throw line, or passing a footy at the target board.

There will be a short talk about the greatest who ever lived, BBQ sausage sizzle, snacks and drinks.

No Charge. Bring some mates, it’ll be a top night!
