Chinese Cultural Day- 25th June

Our Chinese Church and Chinese Christian Mission Australia are meeting locals at The Entrance Memorial Park by holding a stall at the Chinese Cultural Day.

They are inviting all to come and enjoy a Chinese cultural experience in the park from 10.30am.

Come and say hello. It will be a great day.

Seniors were quite odd

Senior fellowship had a moving feast last Saturday which included birthday celebrations for Nancy & Betty. Twenty five of them enjoyed a wonderful day together. Everyone came dressed wearing something “odd”, but Betty’s wig was the brightest!

Come and join us on a picnic to Somersby Falls.

There are short walks from the Somersby Falls picnic area that follow the series of waterfalls along Floods Creek. The picnic area provides barbeques, picnic tables, toilets and ample parking. The main falls drop onto a large rock platform and are best viewed after rain.

Married 60 years!

Congratulations Betty and Jim have been married for 60 years! And what a great joy that God continues to bless their marriage over the years. They tell they were not Christians when they were married, however, God had other plans for them. It was in February 1959 that Betty and Jim rather reluctantly set out for Sydney to hear Billy Graham. And they tell me the text that was displayed over the stadium was “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. ” John 14:6, which is included in our passage at church this week end. Betty and Jim since that day have been followers and servants Jesus.

Why not send them response and we will make sure they receive your greetings.

Letterbox drop- Christmas & GNW invitations- 12th Dec

A great deal of effort and initiative goes into providing opportunities for our community to engage with our church and consequently, hear the Good News of Jesus….

Advertising flyer distribution in December is another such opportunity, as we let people know about our Christmas meetings and Good News Week events. It is another opportunity to naturally introduce our church to our community.

Maps of areas for distribution and a bundle of cards and leaflets will be available at church on Sundays 6th and 13th December. We would love you to pick up a map and a bundle of cards and leaflets to enable you to letterbox drop an area before Christmas. We can even match up an area close to your home if you prefer!

When Should I Deliver?
The preferred time to for delivery is from Saturday 12th December 2009 onwards and it would be advantageous to have deliveries made before Tuesday 22nd December 2009

Please contact Russell Windon if you miss picking up deliveries at church on Sunday but would still like to participate.
