We are running seminars on modules 1 and 4 for SRE accreditation.  We are also running seminars for Sunday school teachers.  The goal of the day is to equip both School Scripture teachers (SRE) and Sunday school teachers as they bring God’s word to the children of our region.

We have invited some highly experienced children’s workers to present on the day and we want to make this training opportunity available to churches across the Central Coast.  If you are interested in becoming an SRE teacher or Sunday school teacher please speak to your church representative or just come along and register on the day.

Whether you are investigating Christianity for the first time, or even if you have been a Christian for many years, this series will be a terrific opportunity to reconsider who Jesus is, what he came to do, and what it means for you.

The registration has been extremely smooth thanks to Tracey House and her team.

We have had around 200 kids each day.  The kids’ programs have been excellent.  The kids have learnt about creation, sin, and the coming of Jesus over days 1 to 3.

In the adults’ tent our Greek hosts George and Maria and their friends have showed immense hospitality to around 90 adults each day.  Tomorrow will be a great day.  The theme is “Mamma Mia” and the focus is raising teenagers.

Don’t forget the men’s night: Big Fat Greek Blokes Night- Thurs 12th Jan 6.00-9.00pm.

As we came to the text of Genesis 1 we noted the repeated phrases and their significance:

We also noticed the way days 1 to 3 are about God separating things and creating spaces, and days 4 to 6 are about God then filling each of those spaces.  The seventh day really stands apart as something of the climax of creation:
