Sonja and the Solomons

Our dear sister, Sonja Frischknecht, is leading a team of nurses on a short term trip to the Solomon Islands. The team will be involved in training hospital staff, community health education, nursing, and sharing their faith in Jesus. This is a really exciting opportunity. Church@5 and delayed Grand Final telecast

This Sunday night the NRL grand final is taking place at the same time as Church@5. Dave & Kay Soede have kindly offered their place as a venue for a delayed telecast. When: Church at 5pm as usual (Berkeley Vale HS). Delayed telecast of grand final at the Soede’s will be at 7.15pm (170 Glenning Rd Glenning Valley).

Daylight Saving Reminder

Daylight Saving Commences this coming Sunday, 3 October 2009, at 2:00 am. That means you put your clock forward one hour and lose one hour’s sleep. Make sure you set all your clocks on Sat night and get to bed an hour earlier so you are awake and alert to hear God’s word and encourage his people on Sunday morning.

Ourimbah Christian Students- 15th Sept, 2010

The OCS group is a small but dedicated group of Christians who seek to proclaim the great news of Jesus on campus, where there are currently 2500 uni students and 3000 TAFE students are studying. The mission week was a huge success. We ran a lot of connecting events (eg sporting games a candlelit dinner and free cupcake decorating), had Christian musicians play, as well as a few talks throughput the week.

Our Church Weekends Away

Over the last 2 weekends our church has been away on our annual 8:30 and 10:30 church weekends away. They were great times! 8:30 enjoyed the WEC campsite at Morriset and 10:30 were blessed to have use of a property in Jilliby for the weekend. Both weekends
