Hands together for “Hands Up”

Last Wednesday & Thursday 24th & 25th March the “Hands Up” team provided entertainment and an Easter gospel message to 6 schools in our local area. We performed a total of 10 assemblies to children from K- 6. The children were very excited to see the puppets – especially the younger Kindergarten children who laughed and called out answers to Dom’s questions. The children heard from ‘Jesus disciples’ (who felt a bit like animals when they didn’t really understand what was happening to Jesus at the cross) about how Jesus had told them he was going to die and rise again BEFORE it happened. Peter acted like a chicken, the disciples followed Jesus like sheep, Mary Magdelene was a rooster telling everyone the good news the Jesus was alive!
The Hands Up team consisted of Dom, Stacey, Tracey, Glenys, Lachlan & Vik. Dom was our up front man who tied everything together for the children. Stacey, Tracey, Glenys, Lachlan & Vik were all puppets at various times throughout the 2 days. Glenys also wrote our script for us this time.
If you’d like to see more puppets, come along to Church this Sunday 4th April – both 8:30 & 10:30 church.
