GNW day two report – photos and news
Posted on 05. Jan, 2010 by Dave Sheath in Blog
GNW day two was a record breaker! The team reports we had more than 200 children onsite learning about Jesus.
- The creche and preschool had 37 children.
- The minimites (infants aged schoolkids) had 48 children.
- The keenites (primary aged schoolkids) had over 60 children.
- The teens (high school) also had 53 kids.
- The adults tent showed hospitality to over 90 adults. We heard a talk from Steve about Sam the self righteous man and Dan the con-man. It was a modern day reworking of Jesus story about the Pharisee and the tax-collector and people found it very real and engaging. We also heard Margrett Westerman and Steve introducing us to The Lakes recovery program.
Day 3 promises to be another terrific day! In the adults tent Michelle Timperley will talk us through a 3-course tasting of outback bush tucker – including bush spices and even perhaps kangaroo and crocodile. Come and join us!
